Founded in 2007, Bithop Systems is an SBA-certified 8(a) minority-owned disadvantaged small business providing Information Technology and Systems Engineering services to the Federal and State governments, and private sector companies. Our mission is to help clients achieve success by developing cost-effective IT solutions, developing new systems, enabling IT governance, and implementing Enterprise Architecture that aligns Information Technology assets with business strategy. Our goal is to develop systems and applications to significantly improve business processes, streamline operational efficiencies, eliminate bottlenecks, align IT assets and future investments, and mitigate risks due to the ever-changing business environment and technology. Our core capabilities include technologies from Sun Microsystems, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, EMC Documentum, HandySoft BizFlow, Appian Enterprise, and design tools such as Rational Systems Architect and Sparx Enterprise Architect.

Management Team

Sohail Shaikh, President, System Architect

Sohail has 30+ years of broad experience in computers, programming in various languages, industrial electronics, embedded controls and data acquisition systems, and even precision machining. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at George Mason University. He holds a Master's in Software Engineering from George Mason University, a Masters's in Business Management from the University of Maryland, a Bachelors's in Computer Science from George Mason University, Diplomas in Industrial Electronics, and Precision Machining. He is a PMI-certified Project Manager and a trained TOGAF Enterprise Architect. Sohail is also an aviation enthusiast, holds a Private Pilot License, and currently building an experimental aircraft Long-EZ in his garage in his spare time. 

Sohail has worked extensively with numerous Federal agencies and commercial consulting firms prior to starting his company. During his long career, he worked as a Machinist, Electronics Technician, Embedded System Designer and Assembler programmer, Software Engineer, System Architect, Project Manager, and Director. He worked with companies such as SAIC, Lockheed Martin, Appian, Lexis-Nexis, HandySoft, and CORNET.

Shazia Shaikh, Vice President, Business Development

Shazia handles client relations, developing presentations, marketing, and lead generation. She is currently working on the GSA 8a STARS II to promote and market Bithop Systems Inc. Shazia plays an integral role in identifying and contacting potential agencies that BSI can bid for. She manages the proposal development process and maintains timelines for projects. Shazia has over 11 years of experience in client relationship management.  She has a strong background in sales having previously worked with United Airlines, Management Concepts, and National Farmers Union.
